Mental Performance Coaching
What is Mental Performance Coaching
and who can benefit
Mental performance coaching helps you strengthen the mental skills that drive success: goal setting, motivation, mental preparation, focus, and resilience. These skills apply to far more than just sports — they’re valuable in every area of life.
You may benefit from mental performance coaching if you are:
-
A business executive wanting to improve focus and leadership
-
A student preparing for exams or a new semester
-
A novice or elite athlete striving for peak performance
-
An exercise enthusiast or someone beginning a fitness or weight-loss journey
-
Anyone wanting support in setting goals, staying motivated, and pushing toward the next level
If you’re working toward growth, discipline, or personal excellence, mental performance coaching can help you get there.

Your plan may include:
-
In-office mental performance sessions
-
Mental health counseling (if appropriate)
-
On-site opportunities for observation or support
-
Telehealth follow-ups before or after performances, competitions, or major events
Your plan is tailored to your needs, your schedule, and the type of performance you’re working toward.

What to Expect in Your First Session
Your first session is all about understanding you. Jake will take time to learn about your goals, your ambitions, the obstacles you’ve faced, and what motivates you moving forward.
Two key parts of this session include:
Setting Clear, Attainable Goals
Together, you’ll identify simple, realistic goals designed to challenge you while keeping you motivated and moving forward.
Creating a Personalized Plan
Your plan may include:
-
In-office mental performance sessions
-
Mental health counseling (if appropriate)
-
On-site opportunities for observation or support
-
Telehealth follow-ups before or after performances, competitions, or major events
Your plan is tailored to your needs, your schedule, and the type of performance you’re working toward.

Team Sessions
Jake also offers team-based mental performance sessions designed to help groups connect, communicate, and build trust. These sessions often include:
-
Team-building activities
-
Educational content
-
Group discussions
-
Competitive and cooperative challenges
As teammates learn about one another and work together, team chemistry naturally strengthens. Sessions can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your goals and availability.
Payment Structure
Mental performance coaching is billed differently than individual or group counseling. Because insurance typically does not cover performance coaching — and because sessions may involve unique time, location, and activity requirements — payment is structured separately.
